Q1: What file types do you accept and why?

There are many video formats that can be used for personal video production. Some formats can only be played using special software or may not be able to be converted to a more common format to be played.

To ensure your video question will be successfully converted to our chosen video format we can only accept the most common video formats.

Q2: How do I convert my video file's format?

Most all application will allow you to “export” your work or video into a more common format. In the majority of software this feature is found under the ‘file” menu. Under the “file” menu you should see an option for “export as” or just “export”. Once you have chosen to export a list of file types should be available for you to choose from.

If you can’t find an “export” option under the “file” menu try choosing the “save as” option. This should also provide you with a list of file types you may save your video in.

If you don’t have a “export”, “export as” or “save as” options under your “file” menu try using your applications “help” file. You will find a lot of useful information here and possibly a way to convert your video into a more common format. The “help” menu will be found on the same bar as the “file” menu in most all applications.
